Why doesnt MSE do GOOD comps themselves?

I been on this site for awhile now doing comps and using the useful info on saving money where their use other sites but how come MSE don't do good comps EVER.

Their have done a few book comps and I sure their make enough money off of us to warrant a few good comps to get back to the mass's or is that money used on good staff pecks.

Competitions are just a marketing tool to gain more customers. I guess MSE have decided either they don't need more customers or they choose to use different methods to woo them

That would be a shame as MSE is reported to be worth a bit of money so if their get more views or traffic im sure everyone benefits.

I always wondered this myself. I've only ever seen a few low value book ones. Come on Martin, where are the big prizes?

There is no commercial reason/need for them to run them.

It wouldn’t just be people who post on the site that entered though. It would get posted elsewhere and would have compers who don’t usually use or contribute to the forum coming to enter

I think MSE contributes enough to most people's life's without adding competition's to win prizes, the fact that the team pay people to work on the research input to finding deals for us and saving us money, surely should be enough for any of us, that's without even going to the template letters for PPI reclaiming, bank charges etc etc.
Most people give contribution's to help other people without expecting anything in turn. Although I know personally thanks to help from others over the years I've saved literally thousands in saving money on energy, banking deals I wouldn't have heard of without being on here, bank account switching deals, links to Resolver website..the list goes on.

There would be little or no commercial value to doing so and the last thing a money saving site should be doing is wasting money.
