I have found 4 PPI schedules that I had with the same bank over 8 years. Do I make a claim for each one, or 1 claim against the bank.

3 of them were on 1 house and 1 was after I moved to a new property.

Thanks

Did you actually pay these "schedules" though?

Regardless, you have to make separate complaints for each policy irrespective of them being sold by the same bank.

    What are your complaint reasons?
  • We were told we had to take it to get the mortgage. We were not offered any choice in ppi suppliers. One of the policy's was sold to me when I was a full time student. I know I look like an idiot.

    Not unusual for mortgages

    Why should you be?

Seems to be the only one mis-sold then.

We were told we had to take it to get the mortgage.

Some mortgage deals did require it.
Some mortgage brokers/advisers require you to buy insurance with them to get free mortgage advice.

    Both of those are allowed.

If you were lied to then that is a missale reason but its also one of the weakest complaints going and very few get upheld on that basis.
We were not offered any choice in ppi suppliers.

There has never been any rule requiring that.
One of the policy's was sold to me when I was a full time student.

That one has a strong complaint reason. Others need a bit of work.

  • Yes, I paid for all the schedules, in fact because the first one was sold to us before we were married they had us take 2 seperate PPI policies.
