Log book not stamped when service done on purchase

I bought a fiesta in November last year, it was around 8 months old. As part of the deal the dealer (big car supermarket) agreed to throw in a service so that I wouldn't have to have it done for a year.
I am now looking to sell, but I see this service has not been stamped in the log book, so now it shows as being without a service since new in March 2015.
What can I do here? The car supermarket should have stamped it right?

Too late to take a gander at the oil filter and see if it looked new
Whoever did the servicing (car supermarket itself) should have a record and most will happily stamp the book if you take it back in, assuming it was actually serviced.
I did have to wait for about 1.5 hours while they "did the service" so I would hope something was done in that time! But as you say, who knows.
I didn't even know there was an online record. Looks like you have to write to the DVLA and pay £5 to get this. No online access?
Yes, on the receipt it states:
Service (FOC) £0.00
The only issue is that the car supermarket is a 2 hour round trip away. What do you reckon?
In any case, even if it's not in the book, you've got a receipt that states it was serviced, so it still has a service history?
That's my nearest. Good point about the receipt being proof enough. Would be nice to have it in the book, but as you say, probably isn't a deal breaker.
I wouldn't mind doing the drive if I could take my new car, but I imagine they might want to see the original car?
My opinion is that you should visit the place and at the very least get the service book stamped.
If the car is still covered by a manufacturers warranty then an up to date service record will be needed should you or the next owner wish to make a claim.
And at the very most?
I think it is still under warranty, I believe Ford offer a 3 year or 60k miles warranty, whichever comes first.
