Hang on in there - I got 60% over 12 months over the online chat BUT YOU NEED TO CANCEL!
  • After 8 years with sky always paying over a £100 a month and never getting a discount,I phoned today to speak to them. I told them I was thinking of going to BT for my tv,broadband and calls as they could do it a lot cheaper. Sky didn't offer me anything just went through the cancellation details and that was that.iam not to fussed but I would have thought they would have offered some thing to keep my custom?the only problem is that it my contract ends on Christmas Day,might keep them on till after Christmas then go with BT. I've had friends who are new customers get every thing 50% off for 12 months and existing customers get good discounts to keep there custom.
Do they always ring back ect to try and keep your custom or iam I going to have to ring back before Santa comes and carnt watch the walking dead?

Have you cancelled ? Are you sure they haven't processed a cancellation you don't realise you've made ? Do check as, cancelling phone and internet could be very troublesome, without instructing a new provider.

You need to cancel tv to get a decent offer.

rang up, cancelled everything (phone, line rental, tv, bb), was offered £2.50 off by switching my package! - which technically id be able to do myself online anyways.
any idea what the exact definition of new customer is? as it would help my daughters financial history by paying bills? and would end up with a decent price for sky!

You become a new customer if new or you left 12 months ago. If you mean that your daughter lives with you, she is technically not a new customer as the household takes the service.

If you cancelled everything, you need to give 30/31 days' notice for tv and have a new provider instructed to take over your broadband or fees could be incurred, depending on who is your new provider. Just cancelling will lose your phone number and could result in a service gap .

Yep am on 30 days for tv, was told to leave bb and ll and just let the new provider deal with it - which I felt was odd but understandable.

It seems odd that it's the house as people move and rent etc all the time. Yep she's moved back in to save money! Someone said to check online under my account, any idea where I should look or what they ment?

That's an odd amount as their offers usually end in 0 or 5.
