Flight delays

I put in a claim against an airline as my flight was delayed by 24hours earlier this year. Their reply has come back saying they are waiting for the Huzar case to be sorted first before making a decision on compensation. I member of staff told me on the night, the flight was delayed for technical reasons and the engineers had worked their hours and the cabin crew needed a 12 hour rest hence a 24 hour delay. Not sure what to do next or how to reply. Help would be appreciated please.

I am new here and just finding my way around. Hope I post this in the right place.
