I thought there must be more to this story than we were being told. I first heard about it on the BBC this morning. They were saying the network operators had spent £millions on their own stores which they only wanted to sell through in future, hence why Phones4U were not having their contracts renewed.
But that begged the question as to how other intermediary sellers, whether in bricks & mortar form or online, are able to continue.
Sounds like the real truth is beginning to emerge about Phones4U.
I've just upgraded over the weekend with Phones4U, paid £79 for the handset and it was an upgrade with Vodafone.
I've just spoken to Vodafone and they have confirmed that the upgrade will be cancelled so I'm free to order again. Will just have to wait for the refund from Phones4U to arrive.
