I no longer go to the town centre to do any shopping. The final straw was a £25 fine for parking 5 minutes early before the free period kicked in.
I am fed up with the difficulty in finding a parking space and driving down roads no wider than a pavement in order to spend my hard earned money in the local shops.
I now either buy online which invariably is cheaper or travel to an out of town shopping centre.
I am done with town centres due to the rip off parking charges, bad traffic and lack of free parking.
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
Ex-clampers, hopefully they will get clamped and fined by the council for damaging the kerbs
Its none of their business who parks their car on private property, (unless blocking access others)
I hate greedy money grabbing councils..

I also find it very irritating that large commercial vans such as local tradespeople, BT/Sky engineers and the like are allowed residential permits. These are NOT private vehicles for domestic use and they often take up the space of 2 cars.
On my street alone there are at least 4 or 5 such vehicles and car owners often have to resort to parking illegally on pavements to get parked with a permit. One inconsiderate neighbour owns a huge camper van which is permanently parked in the same spot on the street and I'm convinced there are often people staying in it as it has a plastic children's step permanently placed underneath it.

I'm finding my way back to sanity again... but I don't really know what I'm gonna do when I get there
