First post, thanks for looking and any advice that can be given. On a recent work night out and after a large quantity of drinking I found myself in a strip club with two colleagues, I had a dance or two from some girls (not something I would normally do) I think my second time in an establishment like that. I was very wasted and have limited memory of the evening but was in formed by my friends I was escorted off to a private area to have a dance. I understood the cost to be £20 and was later informed that when my friends tried to retrieve me from the private area they were refused entry. I was in such a drunken state that I was stubbling around an even fell over. I left the establishment after a while. A couple of days later I checked my credit card balance to find charges of between £200 and £400 totalling £1500. I had no receipts for the transactions. I believe the staff have misrepresented the service and costs and taken advantage of my drunken state. I am embarrassed and feel well and truly ticked up. But wish to do something about it! Do I have any rights? Thanks

I'm not sure your drunkenness is much of an excuse.
Treat it as a life lesson.
Oh by the way these places have been operating like this since god was a boy!
You have no basis for a S75 reclaim just because you don't remember what happened.
I thought that myself when I first read it! Here's the one I remember:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=4568815
And you won't be the last, I'm sure.
You were taken for a mug, and you were one. Little brain had taken over control. Bet you make dang sure little brain doesn't get to make spending decisions again! A mate of mine dropped 7 grand in a strip club one night, and once that ran out, the bouncers kicked him out. It's not the most classy and honourable end of the entertainment industry.
A fool and his money....and they say the women are exploited.
