Looking for a bit of advice.. My husband passed away suddenly may 2006.. We had a joint mortgage and as we were married everything was left to me and our children. There was no need to involve solicitors.. Last sept I was advised to write to lloydstsb to complain about misold PPI's we had taken out over the years.. We had 6 in total.. All in my late husbands name.. I filled in an omnesbus form and sent it to lloydstsb with a death certificate. This was last sept and today have heard they have a payment for me but will not release it until I send in a grants of letter of probate.. I explained that there was no will or probate as everything was left to me.. This was to no avail.. I have now rang a solicitor and they said this costs around £600.. I rang lloydstsb back and they again stated I would need the letter... I'm so frustrated and do not know what to do next.. Please help. :(
