  • Dr Who Who,

i'm sure your right, I saw that the express & star did a similar thing with an Asda advert last week, other papers dont do it though (the sun had a voucher for £5 off morrisons yesterday).
In future i will have to check the paper before i buy, still feel i've been done but at least i could read about the Spurs win over the weekend!:T

I think the Express & Star are being very sneaky with their front cover saying £5 off £40 at Tesco, I bought the paper only to find its an advert from tesco for their current promotion (which has been running for 2 weeks) so not a coupon at all.

Surely this is false advertising I would'nt of bought the paper if i'd known, let me know what you guys think

I too think it is false advertising. I bought the papaer as I think it rude to read a paper in the shop, it is NOT a paper I would normally purchase. It is in actual fact £5 off an £80 spend in my opinion. Who can we complaiin to??

The ASA has found against Express Newspapers for the adverts which people thought were coupons:-
