A Dilema

I had always planned to have solar PV installed in February this year as I would have funds available from a maturing bond.
I had a number of quotations in November last year and chose a supplier on the basis of a February 2012 installation.
With the FIT payment being reduced I was not going to proceed.
However as the government has lost the case and its appeal against the arbitrary rule change,I have decided to proceed.
The installation/commissioning date is 7th February.
I will submit my application to my supplier by 1st class recorded delivery on the 7th.
Will I get the higher or the lower rate FIT(provided the govt losses its supreme court appeal)
Thanks

I presume your aware the install prices have drops since November , hope you got a good price.
The only issue you have is that you placed your order in November when panel prices reflected the higher fit rate. If you placed an order now would would probably be £1000-2000 pounds cheaper. So you could in effect have paid more for your panels yet receive the lower tariff. If you havent paid a deposit yet, I would get some quotes. Heres one for starters 3.4kw system - £7470 + 5% vat.
why are you spamming this in several threads?
" some solar salepitch is a scam "
they exist in all areas , no surprise they latched on subsidised PV
I*E energy have been thhere before I think .
Plenty of honest national and local companies out there , try ones without sales teams
I'm not spamming, I'm warning people about the misleading solar sales pitches [about 90% of them].

Rotate, can I (we) ask what the quote is? Is it too high for a 21p return? Is it worth gambling, or can you get a new / better quote?
Mart.

My understanding is I will get 42p as long as the system is installed and registered by 3rd March, provided the government loses its supreme court appeal against the lower court rulings .
