usedjags.com

Warning: usedjags.com contacted us from an advert in Auto Trader, offered to sell our XK8, looked at the car and said they could get £9000 to us once they sold it. Once they had the car they called and said they had overestimated what they could get as it needed an MOT and work done on the rear bumper and they said we could get £8000. The car was sold at the begining of August and despite several phone calls and a visit to the show room we are still waiting payment on the 5th of Oct. So a warning to others thinking of selling your car through Usedjags.com and also asking for any suggesting on how to get our money out of them?

I'd go and sit in the showroom and refuse to leave till they coughed up 8K. Make sure you sit in one of thier expensive Jags because if you are there for a long time you at least want to be comfy :D

So let me get this straight....

You give your car and keys and logbook etc to a blokie to sell and it's only when he sells it and doesn't give you the money for it that you think it's a bit dodgy???

    Quite.

If it sounds good to be true and all that.

Honestly I am amazed people still fall for this when a simple google search would have come up with the Jaguar forums link.

Hey usedjags...is the op the only one to have had 'issues' with you???

The op says car was sold "at the begining of August...still waiting for payment on the 5th of Oct", you say "payment within a month of sale"....someone is wrong/lying/mistaken/can't count.....so who is right??

Having seen the car you said £9k, then it becomes £8k once you've got it at your garage...why is that??

See that's the problem with coming on here to defend yourself, you get asked more questions!!!

I bet John Prescott is a good customer 2 [STRIKE]s[/STRIKE][STRIKE]h[/STRIKE]jags
  • These scammers have been at this for years and are well known around the Bristol area, a search of companies house reveals usedjags and nmjags to have been trading and liquidating every few years, they take cars on to sell on a commission basis offering to get the best price etc, but when the vehicle is sold they are slow or dont' pass on the proceeds. None of the cars on their site are owned by them and they have no assets. Bristol trading standards have been heavily involved with this lot, they even have the cheek to threaten forum owners to take any negative publicity down as they know how the system works and they don't want their scam revealed. Take extreme care when dealing with this company they are very plausible. usedjags.com nmjags.com nmjags.co.uk they are all the same outfit. Take a look at companies house webcheck they don't like to file any accounts and they keep liquidating leaving a string of customers out of pocket. Disgraceful.
I speak from my own experience as one of their previous incarnations sold my car and I had to take legal action to get my money back. I wont be threatened by their dodgy solicitor either.
