I hope I have this in the right forum.

It's my son's 18th tomorrow and we have some champagne to celebrate. As we are not usually champagne drinkers we don't have a champagne ice bucket.

Can anyone advise of a good alternative item to use.

I refused to go and buy one for this one occasion.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a nice clear glass vase you could use?
I feel so uncouth now as I never use a champagne ice bucket. I just stick it in the fridge lol!

You don't need a bucket. Only 6 small glasses in a bottle. Chill it well in the fridge and then drink it. It won't get warm in the time it takes to quaff it.

Well I thought it was something that had to be done in order to enjoy it more but obviously not.

Will also be uncouth now as I am just going to chill it in the fridge and then drink it without doing anything else.

I put the champagne in the fridge for a few hours and, after going out for a lovely birthday meal, we came home and drank it!! No bucket required. :j
