Brewers Fayre/Whitbread Leisure vouchers

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but...

Some of the Brewers Fayre chain restaurants have been the subject of a buyout this week. They are now owned by Mitchells & Butlers.

Subsequently, these restaurants are now no longer taking Whitbread Leisure Vouchers as methods of payment.

Not all restaurants are affected, only a portion(lol) of them.

However, they are still displaying all Brewers Fayre logo's AND still using all Brewers Fayre menu's and POS. There is nothing on display to indicate they are not accepting Whitbread vouchers as, according to one of their managers *it is classed as negative advertising*.

The only indication i was able to find was a computer generated notice claiming *This restaurant is no longer participating in the Nectar rewards programme. we are unable to either award Nectar points or redeem them*

Best advice they were able to offer me was to ring first, to see if the reatuarant was still accepting vouchers.

But i thought it was pretty poor that, having vouchers bought for me just before christmas and them having the Brewers Fayre logo on the reverse, i now cannot use them at my local restaurant.:(

its happened to me twice ive looked for a brewesr fayre found one only to discover i dont get nectar points or can use my bog of voucher or any other deal - nohappy im writing a letter of complaint today

These places are rubbish imho.

Your food comes straight out the freezer and into the deep fat fryer/oven......utter pants

They are, most of the food is processed, no actual rea from basic ingridientsl cooking involved. At best things come out of the frezzer and are bunged in the microwave.

It would be more of a treat to go to Marks and choose some of their posh ready meals and a nice bottle of wine to go with it!

its the brewers fayres without travel inns next door (apart from a few exceptions). they were sold last year and most will soon be harvesters.

it is unfair but is not the fault of the restaurant manager or staff its mitchell and butler head office who have decided not to honour leisure vouchers/ nectar or whitbread discount
