Sky broadband Headache!

Hi guys I was wondering if you could give me some advice?

I recently moved to Sky broadband (BIG mistake) and after various cockups at their end, cancelled under the cooling off period only to be told it can take up to 30 days to untag the line??

I am on crappy dial up just now and am seriously struggling as the internet is my only contact with the outside world!

Is there any way of speeding the untagging process up or will I just have to accept the wait?

Also was thinking of moving to Virgin b/b can anyone tell me what they are like for reliability?

    Sorry to here of your problems, post your problem over on http://www.skyuser.co.uk/ there is usually good advise to be had there.

    I was without bb for 3 months due to BT/Sky problems, OK now though thank goodness.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Sorry to hear your having problems. I just gave Sky my MAC code last week and so far so good. I'm worried because I've heard similar stories to yours though.

    I think you'll just have to wait on the un-tagging process and worse - there will be another 10/15 days delay to get set up again with another provider after your line is released.

    As sky deliver their broadband service over their own equipment sadly its their call, if it takes 30 days for them to remove it then thats how long it'll take & unfortunately no one else can get that service off there!

    Might be worth ringing sky to see if they could expedite it any quicker?
