According to Moneyfacts, Bradford & Bingley have increased their eSavings ISA rate by 0.15%, from 5.15% to 5.30%, w.e.f. 3 December 2006.

Details here.

Also, as already posted on the Savings and investments board, B&B have also increased their eSavings account rate to 5.35%, also w.e.f. 3 December 2006. Details here.

I've just had an e-mail from Bradford and Bingley confirming the above 0.15% rise in interest rates

I'd only just opened my ISA with them a month before, wish I had waited a while longer now. :(

Following the Bank of England’s recent decision to raise the Bank Base Rate, I am pleased to tell you that on 3rd December 2006, we will be increasing the interest rates

    now why didn't that say

"Following the Bank of England’s recent decision to raise the Bank Base Rate by 0.25% we are only rising our interest rate by 0.15%"

    Unfortunately NS&I don't accept transfers.

you could I guess transfer into the standard NS&I ISA and then transfer to the Direct ISA.

Is it worth it for 0.25% (£7.50 on 3k)

and how much would you loose during the two transfers.

You can't do that two step transfer.

    Yes

I saw on their mini cash ISA you could transfer in from another provider. Where as the Direct ISA could only transfer from the NS&I mini Cash ISA so I assumed you could do the 2 step approach but I just checked after reading your reply.

    From NS&I FAQ's
I already have a cash mini ISA – can I transfer it to an NS&I Direct ISA?
We don’t accept transfers from other providers to our Direct ISA. However, you can transfer an NS&I cash mini ISA to a Direct ISA, provided you opened your cash mini ISA with us no later than 5 April 2006.

:( that scuppered that idea then.
