Intelligent Finance will increase their cash mini ISA rate from 4.55% to 4.85%, effective 27 August 2006.

Savers holding a Direct Savings account will see a smaller rise from 4.4% to 4.55%.

Thanks for that,i have been wondering whether they would go above the base rate that was guaranteed.Has not been a good rate for a while but i am pleased they are now a bit more competitive.can't transfer my isa with them as i took out the much better NS & I isa when it first came out.
I am hooked on this message board,it is like having spies out doing all the investigations for you, when you have to get on with other things!!

This is pure farce. I moved my ISA from IF in May when Halifax were offering 5%. Within a couple of weeks, they reduced it to 4.75%. IF's latest announcement now puts them higher than Halifax - as it appears Halifax aren't going to increase their ISA rate. To add insult to injury, IF is owned by Halifax.

These banks just muck us about - you can't trust em at all!

I've just applied for this as I can transfer my HSBC (4.00%)to them.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to do perform a transfer into them?

Banks/building societies have 30 days to complete an ISA transfer. A transfer involves two parties; the existing and new ISA provider, therefore, the length of time they take to complete a transfer can differ greatly. The more efficient the banks involved are, the quicker the transfer is completed.
