Problems with Internet driving me mad!!

Thanks for the help, but like I've said before I don't think it's a problem with the flash. It's only a problem on Facebook, which isn't a problem.....sort of

We're thinking of gettting a new desktop soon anyway, this one's always been a bag of spanners

If firefox is preventing you from loading certain pages, it sounds like you may have picked up a virus. What anti-virus software do you use, and is it up to date?

It's not just firefox thats stopping me looking at pages, IE is as well, but like I've said before, it's not actually stopping me looking at them, as when I click something else it comes up and all the rest of the internet is working surprisingly better than usual

Antivirus, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D and AVG, all up to date and all ran Saturday after the problems started

Have you tried MALWAREBYTES?

Most of the programs youve said arnt very good

I have only been using whats been suggested to me by people and so far (Fingers crossed) we've had no problems and I've been using them for over a year now

Will try the one you suggested though, can you recommend any others?

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

as far what you use now ~
Spybots ok, but make sure you use the IMMUNISE feature
ADAWARE has gone cr*p
AVG has gone cr*p
Not sure what you ment by 'antivirus' as that should be AVG

What antivirus are you using-you say 'antivirus' and AVG? AVG is not good at all, but you should not be running two different AV programs, as they will conflict.

I used the wrong punctuation mark, sorry, should have read -

Just tried to uninstall AVG and it won't have it?? Not sure why

AVG can be a nightmare at times
Leave it be whilst you tackle the rest. You can remove it later using the removal tool
