We are off to SFO in early August either from LON or BFS and wouldn't mind a couple of days in NYK if the £'s are right. Can anyone recommend a way to keep the £'s < ?
NYK is not a must but most flights seem to jump off there and it would be nice to spend a few days. However, straight to SFO would still be OK.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

NYK, do you mean NYC - New York City??

Best solution and cheapest, is to buy an 'Open Jaw' ticket. This allows you to fly into NYC and out of SFO. You then would buy a one way ticket from NYC to SFO, on say JetBlue.

BA & VS both sell Open Jaw tickets on their websites. On ba.com select the multicity option.

Not sure about your BFS add on but BMI may also offer this type of ticket.

    Hope it helps.

NYK is Nanyuki Airport - Kenya

It's a bit of a weird stop over before you get to San Francisco - SFO

JFK - John F Kennedy Airport
    EWR - Newark Liberty Airport
    LGA - LaGuardia Airport
NYC - All New York City Airports

You gotta be careful when booking flights, i remember someone booking a flight from BHM to JFK and was really annoyed with the airline that their flight didn't exist, when they got to BHX airport. (BHX being Birmingham, UK, BHM being Birmingham, Alabama!)
