I dont think there should be a " mothers Day" at all, or "fathers Day", and er lately "grandparents Day".. These days are pure commercialism... If you love someone, then you can show them that you do any day of the year... :j :j

Yes, but unless you do it on the appointed day you won;t be able to drag them into overcrowded over-expensive places with poo
rer than usual service - takes all the fun out of it...

The Famous Grouse in Loughgall is doing it for £14 per adult & £8 per child.
Very nice food there too, we always go on Christmas day :D

I guess that maybe some people will think it mean but when my mum was alive I always took her out on the Saturday. She could not bear the thought of paying over the odds for a meal so we had Mothers day one early. We did this until she was unable to go out then she came for Sunday lunch and tea.

I don't expect my children to pay hugh amounts of their hard earned cash on me and that is because of the example that my mum gave to me. I have happy memories out and about with her

I'm taking my mum out on Saturday night. We'll get a far better meal and better service, plus we can get !!!!!! because we don't have to go to work the next day :D
My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.
