Would it be possible to amend the list so it shows how many in the family? 4 in mine - 2 adults - 2 children, 1- 2.5 yrs, 2- 7 mths. Can then decide what is the average per person?
I was thinking the same thing earlier today, but then decided it would take MrsM hours to do that. I notice a few people have the info in their sigs or mention family info when they announce their target -- so was debating going back and noting a few down just out of interest to see how different people with similar family set-ups compare
(Mine's me, hubby, and 17 year old son -- but for food only as this is the specific area I'm trying to watch at the moment.)

Grocery Budget : January £124. Spent £21.53 in shops + £8.84 from stocks + £4.10 discounts squirreled away = £34.47
Grocery Budget : 2022 £1560. Spent £21.53 in shops + £8.84 from stocks + £4.10 discounts squirrelled away = £34.47
Mrs M please put TheBees down for £350 again this month.
Off to Lidl tomorrow for a few basics and then I will sit down and work out a menu plan for the next couple weeks. Using up lots of leftover individual portions lurking at the back of the freezer this week.
I should finally get paid tomorrow for my first month in my new job. Just hope it all goes through smoothly as I haven't had a wage since the beginning of July!
Good luck everyone for October.

I have set a budget for October for groceries of 330. I have just realised we have friends coming over for dinner on Sat.
My question is - should I work out how much the food costs and ignore it for budget or count it as part of main 330 budget?????
Its entirely up to you but I seem to remember that some GC challengers have an 'entertaining' budget which they include meals out, takeaways and special meals?
For anyone else wanting MrsMs' corned beef hash, I've put a link in the recipe index at the front of the thread
... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
Goodevening All, can you put us down £400 for october. We now do our shopping at shops MrT and MrL . Could'nt believe the savings in just one month , cupboards, fridge and freezer full. So hoping for another good month :j .

Proud to be No. 61 in the DMP mutual support group.
mine is food, but no cleaning products or toiletries (and definitely no newspapers or magazines). Would include any alcohol I buy for consumption at home, but not any hubby buys from his 'allowance' -- but as I only ever buy one bottle of wine at Christmas or New Year in a whole year it's not a serious dent in mine (especially as I'm too tight to pay more than £4 a bottle!)
