The lowest grade no longer requires such rigarous removal but a risk assessment, PPE and method statement is required. Disposal is still treated as high risk.

Yet again we had to report a couple of problems. We should not have been surprised though. My husband waited 6 hours for the towel rail to be replaced and someone to change something on the boiler. Eventualy someone turns up and says 'yes, the towel rail is broken' (as reported) but didnt bring a new one!! so he has to go away and come back. A couple of hours later the boiler man turns up.(2 hors after the alloted time!) and says 'yes, it is broken as you stated, but I didnt bring anything to fix it'. So now my husband has to take more time off on Thursday for him to come back with the part.
This is fustrating and a total and utter waste of time and money.
When will they ever get it right!!!! :mad:

Previously lived in a 3 bed house elsewhere and now a smaller house and the heating bills have doubled (I know they the prices have also gone up since Winter 2006).
Rent is higher on this property as it is higher grade, are there any minimum standards in insulation or energy efficiency, especially now it is frequently in the news. I'm sure it won't apply to the MOD but from Oct 08 private landlords must get an energy performance certificate. Or is it possible to get it downgraded to pay less rent?
