Hi there

In April I sent the "Stage 1" MSE template letter to Lloyds TSB along with 6 years of statements to reclaim £6,000 worth of bank charges.

A few weeks later I got a letter from them saying my "complaint" had been fowarded to their "Andover Customer Service Recovery Centre" which specialise in complaints like mine. That letter was dated 4 May and I haven't heard any more since.

have any other Lloyds customers experienced this? Had a letter saying it's beeen referred to Andover? and if so, how long did it take you to get feedback from Andover? Should I contact them directly to chase them or wait for a response?

Grateful for any feedback

thanks regards

    Hiya,

I am sort of in the same boat. I also got the letter from them and then two weeks later got a letter from ANDOVER saying they were treating me as a hardship case and would get in touch within a week. They never did so i had to ring them and kept getting sent round in circles telling me to call 4 different numbers so i just decided to sack off the idea of phoning them and i have gone straight to the ombudsman. I am sick of waiting for them to reply. There the worst bank ever

hi there Linzi - thanks for your reply.

Do you happen to have contact details for the Ombudsman? Who are they exactly?

Many thanks for your help with this, I clearly think Andover is obviously a ploy of theirs to delay/stop/confuse things . . !!!

    kind regards
  • I received a letter from Andover saying they had registered my complaint and will deal with it "as quickly as possible" after the OFT case is resolved. The banks do not have to recompense us until the OFT case is over remember, but for now we are putting in a claim for up to 6 years-worth of charges.
The letter was actually very polite and positive for Lloyds, it also says that they'll keep me up to date with the OFT case and get their Customer Support Unit in touch with me to discuss my financial difficulties (I'm paying creditors off through the CCCS currently anyway).

The contact details I have if it helps is Luke Sebire, 01264 725214.

For mow, as Martin says, we should registor our complaints and wait until the court case is resolved.
  • Hello

Yes this is the number 0845 080 1800 Open 9-5pm. I have to say i rang them and they said my case is something they can definately help with and sent me out my complaint form to fill in within 2 days. So just got to send that back with all my correspondance.

Darth_chaffinch, I get what your saying but i am actually a financial difficulty case and lloyds sent me a letter and i quote "let us assure you that the suspension does not apply in your case" and as the financial ombudsman said they are meant to pay up in these cases. So yes you might have to wait but according to the facts people in my situation are not meant to!

And they also told me this aswell and never got in touch with me however my letter said a week. When i called them back i had to ring 4 different numbers who each passed the book.

Did you put your case to the FO? I think you'll find the wording is not that they will "pay up in these cases" but that they will look at your personal circumstances. If they haven't done so then you can refer your case to the FO.

Me too, but how much difficulty do you have to be in according to to the FO? I'm ~£10K in debt, but am managing now financially thanks to the CCCS- does that mean I'm not in difficulty?

I'm not sure, i'm honestly not in that much debt to be fair. I have read on here that people have said they've threatened court and got in touch with the FO n eventually lloyds have made them a settlement, some even claim that this year but lloyds on speaking to them have denied paying anyone since the case went on hold
