Hi all,
Just a query really. A few months back i took out a new car insurance, but have recently noticed that my old insurer are still taking direct debits out of my bank account. On contacting them they advised me that my policy was an automatic renewal and therefore the premiums have continued to be paid. Is there anything i can do to recouperate these funds. Am i entitled to claim it back if i already had another valid insurer and if so how do i go about it
All comments would be greatly appreciatated

You need to write and explain that you were unaware you were involved in an automatic renewal, and for whatever reason have only just realised they are taking money from your account.
Ask them to stop taking any more money - though don't make it appear you are "cancelling" the insurance (which will invoke their cancellation fee policy) - and could they please refund the money taken so far as you had taken the insurance out elsewhere.0
