Discharged...but old debts resurfaced?

HI there, i as declared bankrupt last may but discharged this may. However i have just had a long argument with Southern Water who are trying to get me to pay £120 that they say i owed them from BEFORE i went bankrupt. When i went bankrupt i did say to my OR that there were probably debts that i had forgotton about or not included in my statement of affairs. He s as i had genuinely lost track of all my debt. he said not to worry that he would include everything.

So the person at Southern Water claimed that if this debt was not included in the bankruptcy,(im not sure if it was or not) that i would still have to pay it or be taken to court. He was very insistant, so now i am worried that i will have to pay this, but not sure if i should. can anyone help? thanks

No you won't have to pay this. All your debts, bar a few like students loans, are included in your BR whether you put them on the paperwork or not. Send them a copy of your bankruptcy order, recorded delivery. If they still quibble then get on to your OR and get him to sort them out.

My British Gas bill was wiped clean upto bankruptcy date, £600.00 owing in total.
BG sent me a letter showing a compensation code which cleared the account, so no you will not have to pay this.

send em a copy of your BO without any comment, they can then decide to go for a ccj, and waste their own time and money

if they DO, you could attend and wave your BO at the court....
