What's good at Adsa, advice please?

Options
Hi moneysavers, hope it's ok to post this here.
My friend and I are going to Asda Tuesday evening to do our grocery shopping, we don't usually shop there are it's further away and we have 5 kids between us.
Anyway, as I was saying, we don't usually shop at Asda so can anyone tell me if there are any good offers on or things they are cheap for that I should look out for, it keeps saying on the ads that they are the cheapest supermarket so we are going to test the thoery.
If any asda shoppers can recommend bargains I would be very grateful.
Thanks

  • i know my boyfreind bought home the other day some mens deoderant - the expensive Adidas ones - and they had a 2 for 1 offer!
  • Hi I always buy the bags of frozen chicken breasts fillets, I guess they must have more water added or something to be able to only charge £1.20 a bag but for about 4 in a bag they are great for stews, currys, kebabs, pies etc.

In my opinion the fresh meat is not very nice. I have tried various differnt cuts/types (except beef) and none were very tasty and all felt quite fatty.
What i do find good is they have some asda pies in the fresh section which are big and v. nice. The george clothes/shoe ranges are very good too but a little on the chewy side - har har

Thanks, I have found some good ones. BUt that thread doesn't have a lot of recent posts so if anyone has some up to date bargains, or stuff they always do that's cheap I'd be grateful for your help. Also what Smart price stuff they do is any good please?
