Interesting article in the Independant.. the first sentance summed it up for me... Its been nothing more than a Gigantic Pyramid Scheme.. which is in the process of crumbling away..

Great comment from the always-entertaining Secret Agent who, happily, I now see is earning an additional crust in the Times:
"Buy-to-let investors have vanished faster than a politician’s promise, as funding has been withdrawn and nerve has failed. And each spotting of a first-time buyer has occasioned more twitching and frenzied phone calls around the office network than the sighting of a rare bird far from its normal migration route might in the local ornithology society. To any prospective FTBers out there, the best moneysaving advice is to steer well clear, but if you DO intend to buy, make sure you haggle like there's no tomorrow.

You do the math, smart boy.
That's 22% off asking prices or 78% of asking prices. If smart boy does the math, you should do the spelling... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -
