Any Help?

Ive been looking at these boards for a while and was after some advice before I take the next step.We are a family of 6 and I only work p/t and have moved away from the are so unless we find jobs in the next month we will have to claim for JSA.
Anyway I have been working out budgets and I can just about afoord the min repayments on my debts if I spend £100 a week for all of us for everything(food/clothes/nappies etc) Ive tried to speak to my dh about help and he just says no its fine we can cope blah blah blah. I owe 6000 loan 2000 cc 1000 cc 1400 store card I havent told him about all of this as £2000 is what I leant someone who now refuses to pay it back(yes learnt my leasson there am just waiting for karma)plus for a while we split up and he had 15000 of cc debts which he agreed to pay some back at £1 a month until his arengements changed.Which they have now they are back together.
I know I need to speak to cab and him but just wanted some advice
How does it affect renting privatly which is what we do
Thinks like broadband phone and cable tv
Im fed up of worrying and not answering my phone or opening letters etc.

Hi, your right you do need to get some 1 to 1 advice from a debt charity. Just on the point of your rent, if you do not owe any money to your LL and you go BR I think it is very unlikely they will do anything no matter what the tenancy agreement might say.

Again with broadband and sky you can keep those providing your not in arrears. Time to see what your options are, contact a debt charity NOW.

as you say, first call - CCCS/CAB....make it a priority

check your tenancy agreement, thete may/may not be a BR clause, even if there is a LL is only really interested in his rents, if your upto date your probably safe, and he cant get you evicted before you go BR (it takes 2 months min to get you out) so have time to apply for HA/LA housing even.

sounds like your a "probable" double BR, so expect double fees, but if your not working then £150 off each fee.

services dont usually bother if your not in arrears, they just want paying, though the OR can be snotty if your including them in your SOA if he thinks an IPO may be possible (obviously not if your not working)

    post details for more help....

cars can be under threat if you/oh are not working btw...

Hiya, you will get lots of great advice on the forum so stick around, its been a lifesaver for me. When it came to my rented property I had no problems whatsoever because my landlord didn't have anything in my tenency agreement about bankrupts. Also I still have my Sky and internet connection. I got alot of help from CAB who helped me through everything, have you spoken to someone like this? The others will help you much more than I can.

just put down what you spend, id guess a family of 6 could eat more than your average invading army, having been a family of 7 ourselves at one stage...

    £500 a month? £600?....
