Well.... hello!
Having spent endless hours lurking at others diaries here I thought it was about time I gave myself the proverbial kick up the bum to get on with my life and sort out my finances. (Firmly removes head from sand!)
I am 27, soon to be 28 and have been in debt for the whole of my 20's so far. I'm not gonna let this run into my 30's!
My debt stems from two places. Firstly, living the high life whilst being a student and racking up stupid amounts of debt, graduating, consolidating, and running them up again!!! Secondly, not learning from my previous mistakes. But hey-ho, I can only learn from those mistakes, and move on. I'm not going to dwell in the past...I control my future and I am detemined, boy, am I determined!!!
Thankfully, my parents know about my debt and are brilliant at giving me ideas and opportunities to reduce it....it's just that I have been lazy and not wanted to face up to it. But I'm here and I'm so motivated...nothing is getting in my way this time!
My debt is split over the following loan and three credit cards: -
Lloyds loan £7699.24 (8.2%)
Lloyds CC £6950.75 (0% till Dec 08)
MBNA CC £6927.79 (0% till Dec 08)
COOP CC £4374.85 (9%)
Totalling £25,952.63 as of 20th June 2008.
I have no PPI on the loan or CC's.
My total outgoings are £1032.66, and I earn £1400.00 per month, which leaves 367.34 to put towards my debts. I earn between 160-600 part time, depending on how busy I am.
I have reduced my outgoings to the bare minimum, so now I'm on a mission to make as much as I can through extra work, ebaying, amazon etc. I have a full time job and also a part time one, so I cannot take on anything like mysery shopping. But I have some scope to do overtime in my main job, which is great!
I think that's about my finances in a nut shell! So, here we go.........:D

Doh!!!! I can list them on Tuesday, as I'll be back the following Tuesday!!! Very excited now. (Runs off to download turbo lister!!!)0 -
