Ryan loves swimming but he's a bit of a 'handful' on his own at the pool, because the echoey noise makes him aggressive.

Thanks for the ideas. Seaside would be great if there was one nearby - it's a loooong car journey to either coast from here, by which time they would probably have killed each other! :rotfl:
Pania, don't apologise for your ideas hun - I really liked them and it doesn't matter if they were similar to others!
BB, I think they have opened a Diggerland quite near us - Castleford I think - so that may well be an option. We took him to the one 'oop north' (Durham area?) when he was little because diggers were his obsession at that time, but we haven't been since.
They have decided their first 'task' is going to be doing something in the garden. We have an empty bed at the back of the house which has spent the last 12 months full of weeds, but today my Mum and Dad came round and Dad weeded it :T, so they are going to go to the garden centre next week, decide what to plant, and get digging!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I'm typing from the folding camper by the way!

We put it up this afternoon, to start packing for our holiday. There's a scary amount of stuff we hadn't thought of, but luckily Mum was on hand to point out the things we had forgotten (water carrier....towels....bedding!!
:rotfl:).
While Mum helped with the camper, Dad not only did the weeding, but mowed two of the lawns, and cut two of the hedges, plus I had a mad housework spree this morning and Stu has been DIY-ing, so the house is looking fab! We have a stairgate at the top of the stairs now (to prevent Stu falling down when drunk, obviously
), a new loo seat, and he has tackled a few other annoying little jobs.
So a really good day and I feel like we have achieved something.

Ohhh, also forgot to say that Mum and Dad brought us some wine and some Jim Beam back from their holidays.....

We don't go until the end of August!
:rotfl: But nothing like a bit of forward thinking, eh?
We're only doing it now because no doubt we will remember loads of things we need over the next few weeks, plus we need to make sure we have got putting the camper up to a fine art.
A huge spider was lurking under the winter cover...omg, it was massive.....my Mum was so brave though - it ran under a little metal ridge thing, and just one leg was sticking out, so my Mum grabbed it by the leg, pulled it out and threw it onto the garden. :T What a lifesaver - I swear it was trying to bite a chunk out of me - it looked pretty vicious!

ps Bubbles, I'll send the folks down
