Honest bidder ??

Hello all

I'm selling my kids Little tikes slide on ebay, now my only bidder at the moment (has another 4 days to run) has no feedback & only opened his account the day of his 1st bid he also lists his location as UK, now i have this as a pick up only, tried to do a payment on delivery only which of course Ebay do not aloud now, i'm worried that i have left myself open to being scammed, I think i've been reading on here for too long!! LOL

Ebay have also sent me a message saying i won't get money for it until i get positive feed back or the 30 day no complaints thingy, which from looking on here alot of people are getting, what makes me cross is i have 100% and never had a pos or net but because i sell so infrequently i get this, if it is a scam i'll have no slide, no money and a neg and posable suspention. i think this will be the last time i sell on ebay!!:mad:

One of the pinks on the ebay forum even suggested that people might not want to sell collected items on ebay any more..if the pinks think it a bad idea then it probably is.

You are right though, new buyer or not ccollected items are now problematic as a buyer can insist on using paypal and then taking away the goods, which leaves you with no seller protection. However, to be real here I imagine we are onlytalking about a very small amount of money here for a second hand slide, so I'm not sure it is an obvious item to be scammed on.

I think i'm just being paranoid, i think it's partly because i'm selling it on behalf of my little kids (it was a present from g/parents to start with) and any money they get will go in to buying a bigger slide, what with the ebay warning and the unhappy people on here i'm sceptical of everyone, oh well lots of watchers and hits so may be someone else will bid !!

If you wanted you could always send th ebuyer an email asking him whether he was happy that this item was to be collected only and that your postcode, for collection was XXX. Then depending on his answer to that you could always pull the bid if you were unhappy.
