Mobile contracts for 99p?

I came across this site when I was doing a search on monthly tariffs, has anyone used them or know anything about them.

It looks like you can get 18mths line rental for 99p AND a free phone. What I'm trying to work out is where and how they make their money, being a cynic I'm looking for the con!

it will be a cashback deal, you pay the full amount each month, then claim the money at a later date at regular intervals i.e month 3,6 and 9 for example. They make it a narrow window to reclaim, hoping that people either foget completely or wish the window.

Lots of people on this board take out contracts like this, I'm sure you get some feedback about how much hassle or not it is if you ask

Chatterbox are okay, if a little tardy with the cashback (you have to hassle them a bit). They despatch the phones qucikly enough
