For a gentle sense of the surreal, check out the work of design duo Juliet Thornback and Delia Peel. Their peculiar but oh-so pretty prints (on wallpaper, cushions, cards and more) are very on-trend.


The two set up a studio to produce their designs in 2002, and have recently launched a website (www.thornbackandpeel.co.uk) to showcase their eccentric-looking pieces (think stag beetles crawling across floral silk, or images of pigeons alongside pink jellies). Having garnered interest from the likes of Liberty and Designers Guild, they’ve just produced a bespoke wallpaper for the hot new Ted Baker store in London’s Cheapside, and this month sees the launch of their online wallpaper collection.

To celebrate, we have five Thornback & Peel gift sets to be won, each containing a tea towel, three cards and a set of handkerchiefs.
