paypal dispute- how do i refund?

    Hi all !

    Sorry i think i am being fobbed off about a dispute. I have refunded and ask them to cancel - because i deleted my paypal before the dispute was opened you see ... and hes apparently having an error, and cannot cancel. Apparently paypal are having technical problems. Was wondering if anyone could confirm this please?

    I cannot call them atm as i have family here. And there email replies are terrible. Thanks !

    A negative balance is just -52. Because its 0 at the minute paypal will just take money out of the account and expect you to put it in. Just relax for a while and see what happens.

    Ok thank you. .. Well me being as stupid as i am ! i refunded ... the 52 pounds. And they have not closed the refund. Apparently they get an error .. which i think is a fob off ..

    How did you refund?

    If you refunded the original payment the dispute was closed automatically, if, against the advice on here, you sent a new payment as a refund then the original amount is still capable of being disputed.

    Once a refund has been made correctly through the dispute console the buyer no longer has to do anything as the dispute is closed.

    Sorry for two threads but yes. Thanks for merging. I have called paypal told them the sitatuion. And the money is on hold to the person. They have made a request for it to go through which will take 24-48 hours. And they will be able to close the dispute. I felt sorry for the poor girl as i started crying because im getting so stressed with it.

    I refunded through paypal. Also the dispute is not closed as its a new account same email address.

    No offence, but this is why some of us said don't refund until paypal have told you to. He'll try to get 2 lots of refunds now.

    No offence taken. Its my fault i know. But ive called paypal and they are doing a request or something? Because the payment did not go through they did not think it was my bank or something ... and it will take 24-48 hours but more like a week knowing paypal !
