02 (not inclusive)?

Hi

I have a payg phone on the O2 network.

I have the sim that allows 100 free minutes of wap usage per month. I have to top up with at least £10 every month, if you miss topping up then the month starts again from when you do.

I last topped up about 6 weeks ago. My monthly date is around the 10th. However I topped up last week but don't appear to be getting inclusive wap usage anymore.

Have I done something wrong or have they changed the deal?

If I need to call customer service do anyone have a alterntive to their premium call number?

I have tried searching but O2 is too short and is ignored in searches.

Thanks for any help

Not sure if they have changed things for PAYG but I had some problems recently when I had my tariff changed (long dull story). Turns out that the free WAP minutes I used to get were no longer available and were replaced by 1MB free GPRS on the new tariff. They told me that all the new contract tariffs were like this and that there was no way of directly replacing the WAP minutes - maybe it's done automatically on PAYG (ie: no tariff change required to cause it?)

Looking here: http://shop.o2.co.uk/cgi-bin/o2uk/jsp/tariffs/selectTariff.do?menu=y&ref=LHN_all_tariffs it does show that web access is via free 1MB of GPRS. Not sure if there are different PAYG tariffs for online / offline?

  • I had this problem with the 1MB of GPRS when I first registered (topped up) my O2 sim recently and sorted it by calling them, I dont have an alternative number though. Maybe you could try emailing them through their website and they may sort it that way. I did this with an mms problem and they got back to me within 24 hours.
