Using USB 'gateway' box with Voipbuster ?

Are any of the VOIP 'gateway' USB boxes which enable one to run VOIP off a normal handset usable with Voipbuster ? From what I can see the boxes will only work with VOIP applications with which they are specifically designed to work (e.g. most often Skype).

I have ordered one of ebay - just do a search on....
"VOIP USB to RJ11/UK Home Cordless Phone Adapter 4 Skype"
It claims to be for Skype but I am hoping it will work with voipbuster too. I will let you know how I get on.0 -

I think you may have a problem as I emailed the manufacturers who told me that it will only work with Skype not Voipbuster. Please let us all know though.0 -
I got the USB Telbox today and set it up as easy as anything to work with Skype (you get Skypemate software with it).
It works very well with Skype, so I'm sorted on that front.
I did plenty of surfing to find info to see if it would work
with voipbuster. I have not tried it yet but did find a site where you can download VoipbusterMate which claims to get it working with Voipbuster (although I read some reservations where dialling may still have to be done via the pc).
I will try it out and let you know.

I setup voipbustermate and it connected and worked with voipbuster via the USB B2k box in exactly the same way as skype.
The only difference is that there is no speed dialling number options in voipbuster. Other than that it works just the same - so - ding dang do........totally free UK calls from my cordless phone from now on. (or until voipbuster get enough people signed up and then start charging).

A1 thanks ! All as easy to set up as it sounds ??0 -
Yep,
very simple to set up, you just run both programs, no configuration neede. You can have multiple voip services running at the same time i.e. Skype, voipbuster etc to make calls from your pc but when you want to call via your handest you can only have one of the *Mate programs running (i.e. SkypeMate) as it claims the USB box.
Things seem to be changing very quickly on this technology. I have since moved to VoipCheap as they not only offer uk calls free but to Australia too and the mobile rates are cheaper than VoipBuster. They are in fact almost the same product though by the same company (they also have a French version targeted at French speaking countries).
The only down side to Voipcheap at the moment is there is no VoipCheapMate driver to get it to work with the usb box.
I requested one via the yealink website and I noticed today they have updated it with lots more *mate driversso I'm sure they will do it very soon.
( I now have 10 euros on Skype, 5 on VoipBuster and £5 on VoipCheap - thats how they make their money!)
Cheers,

UPDATE....
I checked my voipbustermate version again today and I was using 1.0.0.2.
I downloaded 1.0.0.3 and noticed the text file in the zip file said.........
30.09.2005 Version: 1.0.0.3
Feature: Add to support the softphone "VoIPCheep".
So they updated it today and it works fine with either vopbuster and/or voipcheap. Problem sorted.

Can someone explain to me if it is possible to connect one of these devices to my router, connect regular phone to the device and then use it with voipbuster/voipcheap etc services. This way I wouldnt have to have my computer on the whole time. From what I can see SIP ATA (SIP-GW2) seems to be the only one that can connect to a router.0
