Group Bookings

Does anybody know how / where i can book, or enquire about booking for a party of 30+ people to travel abroad???

I have been given the privilege of organizing a stag do for next year but I have a couple of glitches I cant seem to get round.

Were going to Vegas so we want to give everyone about 12 months notice, so one problem is that I cant find any flights or accommodation that far in advance? Then my other trouble comes when I try to book on available dates (just to get an idea of prices) I can’t find a site that lets me enquire for more than 6 people.

Anyone with any advice, tips, links etc, they would be gratefully received.

Thanks:beer:

If you talk to a travel agent, then you can get a full ATOL protected package.

My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are S0466/3973. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. Atol numbers can be checked with the Civil Aviation Authority. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.

Hardly a privilege lol - you may end up pulling your hair out!!

you can book flights 11 months from the date of your flight (which will be the date of your last flight - i.e. return home). if you have set travel dates, i would start looking at the flights a few days/a week before, to give you a good idea of how much they will cost. Of course, they are not guaranteed to be the same, but it is a good indicator. You will also get the cheapest price that far in advance. we haven't failed yet.

regarding a group booking for a hotel, use the time well before you are able to book to select where you want to go in Vegas. see the strip map below:

    http://www.lasvegasmaps.com/stripmap.html

once you have a good idea of a few you fancy, go direct to the hotels' websites, and if they don't give prices for group bookings, phone them! (don't forget they are 8 hours behind). At the right time of day it won't cost that much. and you do at least get good service from those answering! to be honest, it's the flight you need to worry about at this stage though.

I have booked 2 family holidays to California, incorporating vegas, over the last two years, and i used the time before i was able to book to do as much research as possible. that way you don't make any costly mistakes and when you can actually book, you can jump in quick for the best price, as far as flights are concerned anyway. you can always swap hotel bookings without losing anything if a better deal comes in nearer the time (if you have booked direct of course - check their T&Cs first.

    have a great trip!

    Tell me about it! haha

Thanks for the info though, I have been onto most of the strip hotels now and got an idea of price, a few of them don’t cover the dates but ive just been requesting one double room in each to get the price, when we make our mind up ill phone the hotel and ask them to multiply it by 15!

As for flights, I can book with Thomas cook today for £485 direct from Manchester – is this good value?

damn right that's good value! don't forget new surcharges are coming in that could make that jump big time.

on the hotel front, how are you lads for sharing, as most rooms have 2 double beds in them, sleeping 4....?

Perhaps those who want to save a few pennies can agree to a four to a room share, and those who want their own bed and a bit more privacy can go 2 to a room.

hope you have a ball - altho i know you will. i LOVE vegas
