hi, ave just started selling on ebay, and i listed an item with a postage price of £15, i had somebody bid on it then two days later he left me a message saying that he thought the postage was too high, i told him that was the actual cost to me for just posting the item and not including packaging the item, he retracted his bid with the reason of "entered wrong amount" is that aloud? im sure that i read on ebay help that if they use this reason they have to re-enter there bid again at the correct amount, should i report this to ebay? etc....
thanks
thanks

you can report it here http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/invalid-bid-retraction.html
but i think that i would rather not sell to him than him buy it then complain
i know its annoying , but its one of those joys of the world of ebay0 -
what are you selling that is costing £15 for postage?
I wouldn't push the issue, you could end up with a hit to your DSR's and a Neg.====0 -
If the buyer is going to be difficult, you're better off not dealing with him.0

Hi, thanks for the quick reply's i was sellin a scalextric set thats why the postage cost £15, and i just wanted to find out what i could do eg. report him as i looked at his feedback and he had 11 bid retractions in the past.
thanks again for your help0 -
Postage is a very touchy subject and you can only really get away with charging high amounts if its goods of high value like laptops which have to be insured.
If its going in one box something bewteen £8-10 you can get away with.0 -
You don't want a bidder who is already unhappy with you.
Forget it.0
