Searching for my own item

i think im going to pull my auctions , i have a feedback of about 90 , i sell every now and then and buy every now and then , ive listed one item , a fairly commercial mobile phone , iits been visible for over 24 hours and yet its had just 8 views
I have searched for it as a guest and even though its got the make model etc all in the title i am hundreds down the list when i search, im even behind accesories from power sellers , in the mobile phone category ! , i hold out no hope at all of ever selling anything again on ebay
am i doing something wrong or is it really that heavily weighted towards the big sellers ???

Higher postage and lower stars will reduce your visibility. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

So power sellers who advertise free p+p get hundreds of non relevant items in the same category as me , yet are filling up the first 10 search pages because of it

You can report miscategorised items. My TV is broken!

If i had a spare three days i might do that
ive just searched my EXACT description of how i am selling it and i still dont get anywhere near it
it`s actually quite amusing:rolleyes:0 -
is this the new search thing that searches by 'best match'?
does anyone actually search that way?
my default search is 'time ending soonest' and i either use this search or 'price + p&p lowest first'
using these searches wouldnt your item come in its rightful place, 24 hours isnt very long, most views (and bids) come as your item is nearer ending0 -

Best match seems to still list them in ending soonest
and when i search by distance there appears to be hundreds of items within 5 miles of me..:rolleyes:0 -
either way if you cut and paste your own item heading and put into the search field you would think that would be your BEST MATCH
or not if your just a poxy ebayer like me that doesnt make them hundreds a month0 -
so even when you search by time ending soonest its bringing up things with different titles than you have searched for (maybe just picking out the key words from your search). that awful, and it must be really annoying for buyers searching for a specific thing (not to mention for you!) im going to be checking my own auctions now0

absolutley right
when i put in my exact description on all my auctions (three of them) i STILL never get mine back on the first page
im relying on a `lazy` buyer coming along , and that isnt going to happen whilst im stuck hundereds of items down from power sellers offering pages and pages of the same item along with free postage
ebay sucks0 -
I don't think free postage increases visibility in best match. I have a problem at the moment all items I listed 6 days ago are out of order for other sellers. My items have 2 days to run and are after 9 day listings at teh bottom of the page. Items I have listed since are in normal order. I have not recieved any feedback in the meantime so it is not about bad feedback. I am emailing them again and again and getting rubbish as aresponse ( surprise surprise) I think there must be some glitches, but getting ebay to admit it! or refund fees - forget it!0
