Unlocking SIM on S55

Hi,

I've got a S55 which I must have set a PIN on the SIM so that the phone can't be used with any other SIM unless I put the PIN in - good idea at the time!. Now I want to upgrade to a new phone and give my S55 to my other half and put her PAYG SIM in. Unfortunatly I've tried all my PIN's to unlock the SIM and now its permanently locked to my SIM. The question is is there any way to unlock this and put a new SIM in?

do you mean security code?
as pin code is on the sim only and the sim will be blocked after 3 wrong tries and permanently blocked after 10 wrong tries. the phone will still be ok though.
if it just needs the phone unlocking there is free s/w about (search for s/w called friea) and you will need the cable.
you should still be able to use the phone with another sim on the same network though without unlocking
