a flight from MANCHESTER to MINEAPOLIS anytime from 20th June up to 6th July, so long as it's at least a week in duration. Don't mind going via Gatwick or Heathrow, so long as it's CHEAP.

My head is spinning with the difficulty of comparing all the different airlines and flights. Can you help?

I beseech anyone who knows their way around airline booking...please help me before my brain bursts!

I've just been on to Expedia and it doesn't look like they fly direct to Minneapolis from Manchester so you would have to stop somewhere.

Otherwise you should give dialaflight a call. I booked floights with them last week and they cut £200 off the flight i wanted. Flying with the same airline and everything.

I found a cheaper number to call instead of the 0870 number on their website. It's 020 7208 8282. I spoke to a guy called James who was really helpful.

the prices seem to vary between £500 - 1000 from manchester or london

as above kayak is a great tool.
you need to play about with the dates yourself but the cheapest from MAN to MSP leaving 20th june returns 27th june is with Delta at £481 ...the journey duration going is quite long though .
the only direct flight to the best of my knowledge is Northwest from LHR

Cheapest for that time period that you've given me from Manchester is those delta flights..

£500 with northwest is also available..

I used Dialaflight - but took your tip about Northwestern Airlines; so a mixture of both really!

I'm really pleased that I managed to get sorted so easily. I've fixed my travel insurance through tips on this site, too: managed to get a year's multi-use for only £26 ( I paid nearly as much as that for just a single trip last year!)

I love MSE - for the friendliness, and most of all for the way it saves me money. Life's tough enough...so I'm very grateful for the small pleasures this site offers!
