We’ve been committed enthusiasts of the Fence Records collective for a long time now and can safely say that this bunch of folk/pop/uncategorisable musicians, with a loose geographical base in rurul Fife, are about as much fun as you can have these days with your ears.
Their latest enterprise is a series of live dates in association with premium Whiskey brand Bulleit Bourbon ® with a bill boasting the best from their roster, associated friends and collaborators. The next one up is Fence Club #5: The Bulleit Sessions, at Stereo, Glasgow, on Friday June 6th and we have 2 VIP tickets for the event to give away to our lucky competition winners.
The line-up for the gig is: The Pictish Trail + Player Piano + Come in Tokyo
Fence Club is a semi-regular event that showcases the range of styles from the Fife-based Fence Records label, and plays host to performances from friends the Fence Collective have made on their travels. Each night contains a mixture of live bands, solo artists and DJ’s. Until now, all previous Fence Clubs have been held at The Caves, on Edinburgh’s Cowgate. Fence Club #5 will be the first to take place in Glasgow at Stereo on Renfield Lane.
Tickets are currently on sale, priced at £8, from the Fence Records website, www.fencerecords.com. Tickets will be £9 on the door - so folk are advised to purchase in advance. As a memento of the night, all ticketholders will receive a free copy of an exclusive 7" vinyl single - with brand new Player Piano and Come In Tokyo songs - given out as you leave.
On top of all this, there’s free entry to the club at Stereo straight after Fence Club - with DJ’s Beans + Bob (Belle and Sebastian) and Twitch (Optimo).
To enter, simply follow the instructions below.
