Frequent flyer programmes - recommending friends

Hi,
I have a quick question about frequent flyer programmes. With Virgin frequent flyer prog (Flying Club) you get extra miles if you introduce a friend to the club and they take a flight, I was just wondering if any other frequent flyer progs do anything similar?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread (my first post on this forum!), so apologies if it should go elsewhere!
Thanks!

What are you trying to achieve?
BMI regularly do offers on their Diamond Club to get bonus miles and there is 20,000 miles when you take out their Amex (MBNA) Credit card

Thanks,
With Virgin, if you recommend a friend to their frequent flier programme, when they take their first flight with Virgin, you also get reward points/miles. I just wanted to know if other airline loyalty clubs, eg BA Executive club, do similar things because I'm going on holiday with my family and thought that I could get some sort of reward for doing so!0 -
Most of these frequent flyers schemes are aimed at business travellers who buy full fare tickets. For "ordinary" holiday/occasional travellers they are a waste of time and money, buy restricted availability tickets with the same airline or go to a budget airline.
If you want to use a lounge at the airport, pay for it on an "as used" basis.
I used to travel to Germany a lot, business class. A ticket cost (my company !) over £600, if I did 8 trips I got enough air miles for a free economy return on the same route. I could buy an economy return for less than £150 on the same route.
Good value - I think not !0
