Wedding bash in Bath: I need hall and barn dance / ceilidh Band!

Hi All,

I'm getting married next summer (yeeeeey!!!) and trying to sort out a "do" in the eve and really fancy a barn dance!

Does anyone know of a hall that I can hire (room for 50-70ppl to dance about and as cheap as pos!) and a good ceilidh/barn dance band in/around Bath?

I'd really appreciate some help here as struggling to sort it

Cheers all,

Love EJ xxx

  • Have you tried confetti.co.uk there is a chat forum on there specifically for brides and you might get some more suggestions there
  • Not sure if they'd hire any of the halls out but have you tried the university? the only reason I think of it is because they used to do Ceilidh nights quite often for the students.

  • have you thought of the sulis club next to ralph allen school, its what used to be the old civil service club, between combe down and claverton (top of brassknocker hill) its now owned by the university and has 3 large function rooms with good cheap well stocked bars, all available for private hire cheaply (ive hired them). it has huge car park and is not close to houses so noise is not aa problem . good luck highly reccommend this as a venue :j :j :j
