All the above are for Credit Cards only, HSBC use Experian or Call Credit for Bank accounts.

Proliant, accept a cyber kiss for this info ...:kisses3: .. :D

I applied for a HSBC credit card today and just recieved an email to say I've been accepted for £500 starting limit!! Thought I'd racked up too many searches to be accepted ;)

0% on purchases ....Typical 15.9% after that .. My lowest APR yet ...

    Well done Tori!!!
Just a note , when Natwest credit checked me for a new account they used Equifax for my bank account (got no problems with od) but used Experian for the credit card (and declined me) - that was the begining of April.

Strange .. I've just checked Experian and Equifax and there is no credit search from HSBC ...

EDIT - Just spoken to HSBC and they say that my application has been credit scored and that it doesn't always show up for a couple of days ... maybe they are not all subject to real time then.

Do you already have an account with HSBC? If so they may not search your credit report at all but made the decision entirely from your internal behaviour score. This has been the case for me when I requested an extension to my overdraft.
