offers are never predictable, as we would all then expect them and hold out for the deal.

i have always found that the cheapest prices are at the earliest point you can book them. for our Virgin LA flights this year, we booked on the first day available, which is exactly 11 months to the day of your flight. note, this is 11 months for both flights, i.e outbound and inbound. unless you book them separately, it will be 11 months from the date of your flight home.

we have done this for our last 2 LA flights and noted a price increase around a week or so afterwards.

another tip if you think you might use them again is to get the Virgin Atlantic credit card, as you get flying points on every purchase, including your flights. Join their Flying Club and tot them up. last Feb we saved £220 on 2 flights to LA with our points, and this year have upgraded 3 seats with some good discounts.

that advice is too general ...it's dependant on time of year , airlines economic situation , general economic situation.
do you need to fly with Virgin ? other airlines will have deals .
some BA flights had amazing prices for 1st class to the US (relatively speaking of course )
