Weekend away

I am wanting to away for the bank holiday weekend so wondering if someone can recommend somewhere. Preferably near the seaside.
Prefer a self catering place if it works out cheaper.

Would consider anywhere - Scotland/Wales/Lake district. as dont mind travelling as want the place to be right.

It would be for 2 adults and my daughter who is 2 years old.

Has anyone been anywhere they would reccomend? do like sightseeing if there's places out there where i could spend 2-3 days. If you've seen any websites where they have information on that place or any dlace that would be brilliant.

Hope im not too vague but just want somewhere to spend the weekend. As i said would also the prefer somewhere near the beach

i hope you dont mind, but i thought i would jump on your thread (rather than starting a new one)

i want to book a weekend away, early July, leave friday a.m. return sunday p.m, 2 people, not tooooo expensive -
like seeing things, not too much walking, maybe a little shopping, budget no more than £400 (its for 9th wedding anniversary <leather?> and fathers day)
