1car1 car hire

Hi everyone, Just booked 1car1 car hire for a week from Stansted. Reading the booking form it seems they are off site and I have to phone when I get there. Anyone used them? Wondered why they were cheap!

I use them whenever i'm in the UK, their depot is about 5 mins from the airport and are very easy to find for dropping the car back.
One annoying habit they have is supplying the car virtually empty(24hr petrol stn 5 mins away), who wants to take a chance of running out of petrol on the return journey?, so virtually impossible to return car with same level of fuel and they gain, but then again they are consistantly the cheapest to begin with.
  • Hi All
Hired a car from 1car1 at Aberdeen airport, they refused to deliver to the airport as i arrived via helicopter !!. had to fork out £17.80 on a taxi fare to their city depot, after the branch would not give directions, I did offer to pick up the car from their usual drop off point near the airport but they refused....STAY CLEAR..use a company that operates from airports..could save money & time in the long run..
  • We've used 1car1 a few times and never had any issues, the depot was about 2 minutes from the Liverpool Airport.

1car1 hire cars on the 'fuel level same on return as collection' basis, so the fuel tank could be anywhere between full and almost empty on collection and this will be marked on your hire paperwork.

I have used them once and will use them again, I was very pleased with the service, the cost and above all they take maestro cards and you don't need a credit card!
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!
