  • If I take laptop with me, the I am taking it in hand baggage... it's much safer from damages.. as you know laptop is damagable thing

    You should put in your hand luggage and ideally have it in suspend mode so that if you have to turn it on to prove its a laptop its instant and wont hold you or others up

    Have a look at your travel insurance because quite often they only cover individual items up to £300 so you might find your laptop is not covered. Quite often the headline rate for personnel effects is £2000 but then limited to the £300 for each item.
