kids passport query

If parents are separated and going through solicitors for divorce etc....can the other parent with residence apply for a new passport for the kid, if the other parent is refusing to hand over the passport until matters have been finalised?

but cannot she not apply for one and say its lost???0

probably but if you then reported her she would probably find herself in serious trouble
you best bet would be to call the passport office and explain what you think she may be trying to do, ask that a note is put on the file so this cannot happenI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. If you have parental rights over the child in question then she would require a signature from you before she would be able to submit another passport application.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. If your ex wife to be has residence, then surely you are in the wrong for withholding your child's passport ???
Have you been honest with the passport office and told them you arent the parent with residency, or are you only doing this to be awkward
Sorry to ask, but I have been on the receiving end of an ex threatening to get a passport in my daughters name, and if he would have managed to get hold of her passport and not give it back, I would have reported him to the police for theft :rolleyes:0 -
can only be done if its another adult passport, but its my kid's one...so no as i have a genuine reason to hold it and solicitor knows and concerned themselves.0
